Last month, Simon left the shores of the English Riviera to find himself in a very different climate. His trip was part of an annual celebration of Skrei season – a delicious migratory cod, now available on The Elephant’s menu. Here’s a lovely little film about it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hClUTP4m2Y4&list=PLKfuqfpERKK5b0MrRMHVYDGM7UPE8obYs&index=7Read more...
The Elephant is a two storey restaurant with the more informal brasserie on the ground floor and the Michelin starred, The Room on the first. The Elephant was the first restaurant in Torquay to be awarded a Michelin star which it maintains today. We aim to source all our ingredients locally, many from our dedicated farm in Brixham.
Run by chef proprietor, Simon Hulstone and his wife Katy, the restaurant overlooks the beautiful Torbay harbour.
Diners in the Brasserie can enjoy a delicious menu of local and sustainable fish, meat and vegetables, sourced from the surrounding area, in an informal and attractive setting.
The Room offers Michelin starred food and service without the formalities.
All our dishes change regularly depending on which locally grown and reared (many sourced from our dedicated farm) ingredients are at their best.
