Sustainability at The Elephant
We take our commitment to the environment very seriously and aim to source locally and operate as sustainably as possible. Our dedicated farm is situated in South Devon and encompasses 69 acres of land with stunning views of the Devon landscape. At the farm, the team rear free range pigs, sheep, hens and Kelly Bronze turkeys. We work closely with Suttons Seeds and Dobies of Devon to cultivate and grow a range of seasonal fruit, herbs, flowers and vegetables in our three poly tunnels. We use only sustainable varieties of fish and as many cuts of the animal as possible and our menu changes almost daily to reflect the best of what’s on offer. Thanks to our talented chefs, we don’t have many leftovers make it back to the kitchen but the waste we do have is returned to the farm as green compost.
