Katy Hulstone - Manager

Katy has been at the Elephant since 2004 and is our face of the restaurant.  Her calm, casual approach has brought a new level of service to the Elephant.Mother of our two little herbs Tansy and Cicely and married to the chef. What a lucky lady.

Jason Poore - Front of House Manager

Originally from the Land Down Under, Jason has brought a wealth of experience to the front of house team.  His easy going nature and friendly approach helps our customers to enjoy their dining experience from start to finish.

Daniel Morris

Daniel joined in November 2005.  Previously working at some of the bay's larger hotels.  Daniel is a keen and hardworking young chef and has won gold medals at this year's Hotelympia.  Twice semi finalist in the Gordon Ramsay scholarship and a very reliable young chef. Daniel has just been awarded the title of Young Chef of the Year in a thrilling competition in Birmingham. Daniel has a busy year ahead as in may he will be travelling to Dubai to represent Great Britain in the Junior World chef finals. 

Chris Lovell

Chris is our new Chef de Partie and has worked in some of the South West's finest country house hotels. Chris is at present our larder chef preparing all the cold starters.  Chris' favourite piece of kitchen equipment is a bread crate so he can reach the stove. Also a gold medalist in london has chris told you about his mortgage.

Thomas Frederick Waker

Tom is our canadian chef de partie and one with nature. Tom works on our garnish section and  has the scars to prove it. Hardworking reliable chef.

Peter Gerraghty

Peter is our pastry chef and also a gold medalist at this years hotelympia his first attempt at a competition. In training for the torbay half marathon pete is the kitchen beefcake.  

Jerry

Jerry is our long serving kitchen assistant and also photographer.  Man of few words but they are always of wisdom.

Tansy Hulstone

Just about to start her apprenticeship in the kitchen tansy at 2 is our future chef and current favourites are chocolate, breadsticks and tantrums.Can now be seen gracing the pastry section on certain days begging pete for petit fours. start them young i say  

 

Cicely Hulstone

The newest and loudest member of the Elephant team.  Don't let the blue eyes fool you; she's a heartbreaker.  Future Gordon Ramsay. This little girl loves her food and has her own8 course tasting menu every night. Takes after her old man .

Marysia

Marysia works in our brasserie restaurant and controls the hot plate a good solid worker.

Agnieszka

Agnieszka is our newest member of the restaurant team and is a runner between the room and brasserie.  It will keep her fit at least.
